Tenure-Track Faculty Position
The Department of Atmospheric Sciences is part of the John D. Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences at UND and offers degree programs leading to the B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. in Atmospheric Sciences. UND is a UCAR Member institution. Fall 2012 enrollments include 89 undergraduate and 37 graduate students in these programs. Teaching and research is carried out by 13 faculty members; current areas of faculty expertise are listed at http://atmos.und.edu/Research/Default.aspx. Facilities include a 5-cm wavelength Doppler weather radar with dual polarization capability, a Cessna Citation research aircraft, and two instrumented ground research sites. The program is affiliated with the University’s Regional Weather Information Center and cooperative programs are ongoing with the National Weather Service Weather Forecast Office in Grand Forks.
